Cookie policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026. This policy explains which cookies and storage technologies the Golden Wolf Trading site uses, for what purpose, and how you can manage them at any time.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They differ from other local storage technologies, such as localStorage, which also keep information on your device but are not automatically sent to the server with every request. This policy distinguishes between the two and separately describes the third-party scripts and tags that may generate cookies.
2. How do we use cookies?
The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The only cookies that may appear in your browser come from third-party analytics tools, and they are loaded only after you accept the analytics category. If you do not grant that consent, those tools are neither downloaded nor initialised.
3. Essential cookies
These are strictly necessary for the site to work and to remember basic choices such as your language or your cookie decision. This category cannot be switched off, because without it the site cannot be provided properly. In the current implementation these functions are handled through browser local storage rather than cookies (see section 6).
4. Analytics cookies
These help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. They are activated only when you accept the analytics category. With your consent we load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-PKQMWTJ4), which in turn runs Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3CGHJQCSZQ), and Microsoft Clarity (project y6ar6tqqbe), which records heatmaps and session recordings. These tools may set their own cookies in your browser; their names and durations are defined by each provider and may vary depending on its configuration, so we do not list them here in order to avoid publishing inaccurate information.
5. Marketing cookies
The preference centre includes a marketing category so that you can decide about this type of technology. As of the date of this update, the site does not use any marketing or advertising tags or cookies. If any are added in the future, they will be activated only with your marketing consent and we will update this policy.
6. Local storage technologies
In addition to cookies, the site stores two values in your browser's local storage. These are not cookies and are not sent to the server:
- gwt-consent-v1 — local storage. Stores your cookie decision (analytics and marketing) and the date of that decision, so it can be honoured on later visits. It remains until you change it or clear your browser data.
- gwt-lang — local storage. Remembers the language you have chosen. It remains until you change it or clear your browser data.
7. Third parties used
The only third parties present on the site are the following, documented according to what the current code actually does:
- Google Tag Manager (Google) — tag manager. Loaded only after analytics consent.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — site usage measurement. Executed through Google Tag Manager and therefore only with analytics consent.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — heatmaps and session recordings. Loaded only after analytics consent.
- Google Fonts (Google) — site typefaces. Loaded from Google's servers to display content; the site does not use this loading to set cookies or for analytics.
8. Managing your cookie preferences
The first time you visit the site you will see a notice with three options: accept everything, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences. In the preference centre you can independently enable or disable the analytics and marketing categories; the essential category always remains active. You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings, although some features may stop working correctly.
9. How to withdraw or change your consent
You can change your decision at any time by opening the preference centre from the footer link or from the button on this page. If you withdraw analytics consent, we stop authorising those tools and the page reloads to halt any script that was already active in that session. Until a decision is made, consent remains denied by default for analytics and advertising.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when the tools used or the applicable requirements change. The version in force will always be the one published on this page, with its last update date. Some of the providers mentioned may process information outside your country of residence; our Privacy Policy explains how we handle that information.
